Imagine my surprise to find charges on my credit/debit card for online games in the tune of over 500.00. I found out because it drew this account over its limit….and it shouldn’t have been. Then I started receiving email requests from a website with people wanting me to be in myspace. In a link on the email I was able to go to the account and then I find an account opened in my name with my personal information.
Did someone hack my computer? Or hack into someone else’s computer that had my information?
I have been looking at a service for sometime now called LifeLock that guarantees to protect your identity. I think it is about time that I did that quick. Guess you just never know when this could happen. I saw a show on the TV the other day that said that there are over 300,000 attempts each day to hack into the Pentagon’s computers.
Hope that I can get this stopped before it gets out of hand. Identity theft is a serious and growing trend that I don’t wish on anyone.
